GOOSE GREEN LODGE - 'the friendliest B&B in South Africa'.

Set in our lovely 1.25 acre garden, the Lodge offers the choice of Bed and Breakfast accommodation and two very comfortable 2 bedroom cottages which are fully furnished and equipped for those who want to do at least some self-catering. We have beautiful views of the mountains around us and the garden not only contains a fenced pool, a much used traditional braai area and a convenient gas braai, but also a shadey gazebo and lots of comfortable garden furniture for just enjoying those quiet moments. The garden is ideal for small children, with a jungle gym, slide and swings, and there’s always Rosie, our very friendly Golden Retriever, and the other animals in the garden to play with.

Bed and Breakfast

Our 2 double and 2 twin en-suite bedrooms have their own entrances and furnished patios looking out to the garden and up at nearby Chapmans Peak Mountain. Guests have their own extremely comfortable lounge (lots of books, magazines and games, satellite tv, help-yourself fridge we keep stocked with soft drinks, beers and wines) and our breakfasts are generally served at a single large table, whenever possible outside in the garden: these always include fresh fruit salad and freshly squeezed fruit juice, cereals and yogurts, croissants/breads/jams, cold meats and local cheeses and a full cooked breakfast as well if requested. Filter coffee, tea and little extras like our homemade pancakes and hot syrup are served as well. We have been told many times that our breakfasts are the best that our guests have enjoyed while in the country!

Rates:
ZAR 340 per adult per night
ZAR 175 per child per night (4-14 years)
ZAR 450 per night for single occupancy

The rooms are large enough to have an extra single bed added if required, in which case we can reduce the nightly rate.

Self-Catering Cottages

Our two very comfortable two bedroom cottages are located next to each other at one end of our garden. Guinea Fowl Cottage is the larger of the two and has a large double bedroom, a twin bedroom, two en-suite bathrooms, a lovely tiled family lounge and dining area and a fully fitted kitchen. Sunbird Cottage has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a stunning new fully tiled bathroom(with bath, open shower, wc etc), an airy conservatory that opens out to the garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Each cottage has a DSTV system and DVD player and all the glassware, crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment a family would normally need. Although equipped for self-catering, many of our cottage guests stroll up the garden in the morning to have breakfast with us.
