Noordhoek is a semi-rural village renowned for its wonderful beach, its horseriding and an environment which attracts those who want to be within easy distance of the city yet want to enjoy the peace and atmosphere the village provides.

Surrounded on three sides by mountains, including the beautiful Silvermine Nature Reserve, and on the other side by our 7km beach of white sand we are on the Atlantic Ocean side of the peninsula, yet the beaches on the Indian Ocean/False Bay side of the peninsula are also only 5-10 minutes away from us. So we really are perfectly located for all the attractions in and around Cape Town (see the page “Things To Do” for more details of these).

The village is an especially popular location for a wide range of artists who form the famous Norodhoek Art Route by opening their studios to the public on the first Sunday of every month between October and May. Noordhoek Farm Village, just 1km down the road from us, is very much the centre of village activities and has a collection of craft shops,our village pub “The Nags Head”, which serves excellent food in wonderful surroundings for the whole family, a café and restaurant, and we are fortunate to have a wide range of other restaurants and eating places both within the village or within a few minutes’ drive of us.

For those who are self-catering we have a large supermarket and mall just 3kms down the road which has a huge Pick and Pay supermarket, a Woolworths Food Hall, several cafes and fast food outlets as well as a 5 screen cinema for those want to catch up on their movies.
